The individual, identified as Jaibir Singh Dodia (21), allegedly leapt from the eighth floor of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hall on Saturday morning.
Upon learning of the event, officers from the Hijli police station, part of the Kharagpur Town police, promptly arrived at the scene.
