Hardoi, March 22 (NationPress) A suspect involved in the theft of oil from electrical transformers was captured in a police encounter in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, according to officials on Sunday.

In response to the increasing number of thefts in the area, a collaborative team from the Pali and Pachdevara police stations apprehended the suspect after a brief exchange of gunfire.

The individual, who was injured during the confrontation, has been taken to a hospital for medical care.

Initial investigations indicate that the detained suspect was engaged in stealing transformer oil and is part of a larger network involved in these criminal activities.
