Agartala, July 21 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, announced on Monday that the state's commitment to implementing the National Education Policy and enhancing educational quality is evident in the impressive results of the Class X and XII board exams administered by various central and state boards.
During a celebration ceremony at the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan, organized by the School Education Department, the Chief Minister emphasized the government's dedication to advancing education across both rural and urban areas.
Saha, who also oversees the Secondary Education portfolio, honored schools that achieved a 100 percent pass rate in this year's Madhyamik and Higher Secondary exams conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
“The government is investing resources into enhancing educational infrastructure, improving facilities, and launching new initiatives. The Education Department is committed to delivering quality education to students. Additionally, the government has initiated plans to establish an Education Hub and a Health Hub in Tripura,” he stated.
The Chief Minister indicated that these initiatives will foster healthy competition among schools in the future.
“Other institutions will draw motivation from the achievements of these schools. The accountability for student performance lies with the educators. The government is now prioritizing the recruitment of skilled teachers. Effective teaching requires adequate training, and various policy guidelines must be adhered to. The state is actively hiring capable teachers through the Teachers’ Ability Test (TET) and the Teachers’ Recruitment Board,” Saha explained.
He strongly asserted that quality education is essential for students.
Highlighting that Tripura is competing effectively on numerous national benchmarks, he noted that the future of the state’s students hinges on the upcoming generation.
The Chief Minister mentioned that Thinker Labs and Smart Classes have been introduced in Tripura's schools, adding that numerous reforms are continuously being implemented in the education sector.
“Technology has been integrated into education, with Artificial Intelligence being included across various domains. We must embrace innovative thinking as we move forward. Those who have attained a 100 percent success rate must not rest on their laurels, as there is still much progress to be made,” he stated.
