The J&K Police, along with security forces, have been intensifying operations against terrorists, their associates, and sympathizers to dismantle the framework supporting terrorism in the Union Territory.
Authorities are also scrutinizing drug traffickers, peddlers, and those involved in illegal money transfer schemes, as it is believed that profits from these illicit activities contribute to funding terrorism in J&K.
Following court directives, the J&K Police has been proceeding to attach properties acquired through drug trafficking and unlawful financial activities in an effort to deter such behaviors and cleanse society of the drug issue.
While the police and security forces conduct these operations in the interior regions, the borders of J&K are secured by the army and the BSF to prevent infiltration, exfiltration, drug trafficking, and drone operations originating from across the border.
