New Delhi, Oct 27 (NationPress) Major General Yousef Maayouf Saeed Al Hallami, the Commander of the United Arab Emirates Land Forces, received a comprehensive briefing on 'Operation Sindoor' on Monday, according to an official statement.

During his visit, the Commander was also informed by the DG Information System and the Army Design Bureau regarding India’s Defence capabilities and the Artificial Intelligence roadmap for the Indian Army.

Maj Gen Al Hallami is on a two-day official visit to India from October 27 to October 28, where he was welcomed ceremonially upon his arrival.

The briefing on 'Operation Sindoor' occurred shortly after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh characterized it as a reflection of India’s military strength and national integrity.

At the Army Commanders’ Conference in Jaisalmer last week, the Defence Minister remarked that the operation showcased the soldiers’ strength not just through weapons, but also their ethical discipline and strategic clarity.

“Operation Sindoor will be remembered not merely as a military mission, but as a representation of our nation’s courage and restraint. Our forces' actions against terrorism adhered to principles of policy precision and human dignity. The operation is ongoing, and our commitment to peace will persist as long as even one terrorist ideology exists,” he stated.

The UAE Commander’s visit aims to bolster bilateral military cooperation and identify new collaboration opportunities, especially concerning training and capability development, as noted in an official release.

Maj Gen Al Hallami’s visit highlights the ongoing commitment of both nations to enhance and deepen their longstanding Defence partnership.

On Tuesday, the Commander is scheduled to lay a wreath at the National War Memorial. Later, he will visit the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for a comprehensive briefing on various indigenous weapon systems and platforms.

He will also engage with Dr Samir V Kamat, the Secretary of the Department of Defence Research and Development and Chairman of DRDO.

Furthermore, the Commander will meet with representatives from Indian Defence industries to deliberate on mutual interests.

Maj Gen Al Hallami’s visit signifies a pivotal advancement in the Defence cooperation between the UAE and India.

This engagement will further fortify the strong Defence ties, paving the way for a resilient, future-ready partnership in military collaboration and regional security initiatives, as per the statement.
