Patna, Sep 30 (NationPress) A new political uproar has emerged in Bihar as Jan Suraj Party's national leader Uday Singh has directed a stern letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, insisting on prompt measures against Deputy Chief Minister and prominent BJP member Samrat Chaudhary due to his purported involvement in the 1995 Launa Parsa massacre.
This action follows a remark made by Jan Suraj party head Prashant Kishor on Monday, stating that a letter would be sent to the Prime Minister.
In his correspondence, Uday Singh referenced official documents asserting that Samrat Chaudhary is implicated as an accused in Case No. 44/1995 at Tarapur Police Station, linked to the Launa Parsa massacre that occurred on March 28, 1995, resulting in the deaths of six individuals from the Kushwaha community.
Singh noted that Chaudhary was detained and imprisoned for several months, with his bail being denied on two occasions.
He was ultimately released after asserting he was a minor, allegedly using his matriculation admission card to prove he was just 15 years old at that time.
However, Singh pointed out a significant inconsistency in Chaudhary's election declarations from 2020, where he stated his birth year as 1969, indicating he would have been 26 years old in 1995, not a minor.
“This inconsistency implies that he may have been released from custody by submitting fraudulent documentation, attempting to avoid accountability for a grave offense,” Singh articulated.
Uday Singh called upon PM Modi to terminate Samrat Chaudhary from his ministerial role and to let the judicial system function independently so that justice can be served to the victims of this massacre.
He emphasized that having such an individual in a prominent position diminishes the integrity of governance and erodes public trust in democratic institutions.
Samrat Chaudhary, who currently serves as Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister and is a significant leader within the Koeri/Kushwaha community, holds considerable influence in the NDA government.
These allegations could stir political unrest for the BJP, especially with the Bihar Assembly elections on the horizon in 2025.
On Monday evening, Samrat Chaudhary countered these claims, labeling them as unfounded.
