Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh), June 6 (NationPress) Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday commended Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for renaming ‘CM RISE’ school to ‘Sandipani Vidyalaya’ and for the effective execution of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) in Madhya Pradesh.
During his visit to Madhya Pradesh to inaugurate a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Ratlam district, Pradhan remarked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced NEP-2020 with a vision aimed at overhauling India's education system.
“I applaud the Madhya Pradesh government for its effective implementation of the Centre's New Education Policy. The benefits of this commitment will begin to manifest in the coming years,” Pradhan stated.
This marks the second Navodaya Vidyalaya in Ratlam district. Pradhan noted that the residents of Ratlam are fortunate to have two Navodaya Vidyalaya, attributing this achievement to veteran BJP leader Thawar Chand Gehlot, who currently serves as the Governor of Karnataka.
Gehlot, a former representative of the Alot Assembly seat (under Ratlam Lok Sabha constituency) from 1990 to 1993, was a special guest at the event alongside Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
Additionally, emphasizing the progressive measures taken by the BJP-led Madhya Pradesh government in education over the past two years, Pradhan stated, “I commend Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's decision to rename the ‘CM RISE’ school to ‘Sandipani Vidyalaya’. This reflects his dedication to NEP-2020.”
It is noteworthy that the ‘CM RISE’ school initiative was originally launched by former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is now the Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister.
Initially, the acronym ‘RISE’ stood for ‘Respect, Integrity, Strength, and Excellence’.
The initiative aimed to transform over 9,000 government schools across the state into exemplary models over a decade through enhancements in infrastructure, staffing and training, academic and administrative procedures, and other initiatives to improve access to quality education.
However, on April 1 this year, Shivraj Chouhan's successor, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, announced that all ‘CM RISE’ schools in the state will now be referred to as ‘Sandipani Vidyalaya’.
