Sonbhadra/New Delhi, March 23 (NationPress) Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri presented the Surya Nutan stove, a significant solar cooking initiative launched by the Modi government aimed at promoting green energy and reducing harmful emissions, to approximately 309 women in Uttar Pradesh's Sonbhadra district on Sunday. He also engaged with some beneficiaries during the event.
The Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas emphasized that the Surya Nutan stove initiative exemplifies the determination of the Modi government and signifies another advancement towards an energy revolution in the nation.
On his social media platform X, he shared visuals from the event and remarked, “In Sonbhadra, I had the privilege of distributing the Surya Nutan stove to around 309 sisters and interacting with the beneficiaries.
“The vision for innovation in solar stoves was articulated by PM Modi back in 2017, and New India has introduced an extraordinary solution in 2023,” he noted.
Highlighting the environmentally friendly design of the stove, he stated, “This stove harnesses solar energy using a specially crafted thermal storage material, which is then utilized in the kitchen for cooking.”
