New Delhi, Oct 29 (NationPress) As the 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League nears its finale, Rishank Devadiga discussed the Telugu Titans' impressive resurgence, emphasizing how the team's performance has markedly improved, bringing them closer to securing a place in the finals.

On Day 4 of the PKL Season 12 playoffs, the Telugu Titans thwarted the Patna Pirates' aspirations with a crucial 46-39 win in Eliminator 3. With Bharat Hooda contributing 23 points, the Titans are set to clash with the Season 10 champions, Puneri Paltan, in Qualifier 2, aiming for a finals berth.

During an interview on JioStar, Rishank reflected on the Titans' journey this season, stating, "When we look back at the Telugu Titans' previous performances, it’s clear that this franchise has been struggling in the bottom ranks for several seasons. However, in Season 12, they have excelled on a whole new level.

"The victory over the formidable Patna Pirates was not only well-deserved but also represented the culmination of their hard work throughout the season, and the entire team structure along with the coaching staff truly deserve commendation."

He also highlighted the impact of coach Krishan Kumar Hooda, saying, "The strategic guidance of Coach Krishan Kumar Hooda is invaluable; his proven track record in building competitive teams, previously seen when he led Dabang Delhi K.C. to championship glory, is coming to fruition with this team as well.

"The players displayed remarkable composure under pressure, fully aware that a single defeat could end their journey, yet they maintained firm control throughout this match, showcasing an extraordinary exhibition of kabaddi."

Reflecting on the emotional turnaround of the Telugu Titans this season after facing significant criticism for their initial poor performances, Rishank remarked, "These moments are incredibly emotional and well-earned. Despite their rocky start, Coach Krishan Kumar Hooda always had faith in his young team. No one anticipated such a stunning turnaround, making this achievement exceptionally special.

"The tears we saw in Krishan Kumar Hooda's eyes were entirely justified. He deserves all the accolades for his crucial role in changing the fortunes of this team and crafting this extraordinary success story."

Bharat Hooda, as always, delivered a stellar performance, helping his side maintain momentum throughout the match. Regarding his raids, Rishank stated, "In such a crucial match, Bharat Hooda's performance was exceptional! With 23 raid points from 26 attempts, he kept the team's momentum alive, particularly when Captain Vijay Malik was struggling. His consistent multi-point raids put constant pressure on Patna's defense throughout the game.

"His dominance in the second half was particularly noteworthy, as he continued to stack up points and ultimately secured the victory with a match-winning super raid."

While Captain Vijay Malik faced challenges during the game, his leadership was exemplary. Praising his deep understanding of the game and strategic acumen, Devadiga remarked, "Having a captain like Vijay Malik is priceless due to his profound insight into the game and tactical brilliance.
