Delhi, Oct 19 (NationPress) After the Telugu Titans secured their playoff position in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 through a dominant victory over Puneri Paltan, head coach Krishan Kumar Hooda emphasized the need for a more aggressive approach as the team faces crucial do-or-die matches.

This marks the first instance since PKL 4 that the Titans have made it to the playoffs, coinciding with head coach Hooda's second year in charge. Expressing his joy at reaching this milestone, the seasoned coach remarked, “Securing this win was vital. The team hasn't made the playoffs for several seasons, and I want to extend my gratitude to the team, the players, and the support staff for their contributions. The players have put in immense effort and have been performing admirably, despite some unfavorable outcomes.”

In alignment with this sentiment, Telugu Titans captain Vijay Malik stated, “Our success is a result of a collective effort from the team, our coach, and the management. Earning a playoff spot is a testament to everyone’s hard work. We also appreciate our fans for their unwavering support, and we aim to maintain this level of performance.”

The captain elaborated on the positive changes that have led to improved performances this season. “We've implemented several changes in our gameplay, which have yielded better results this year. The improvements stem from our practice methods and the strategies laid out by our coach. We’re eager to sustain this momentum.”

Reflecting on the progress the team has made since his arrival last season, Hooda noted, “I've been with the team for two seasons now. For several years, the Titans were finishing in twelfth place. Last season, we narrowly missed the playoffs by a single point. This year, we've entered the top four, and I’m grateful to my franchise for their continued support.”

Further discussing the significance of qualifying for the playoffs and setting the stage for upcoming matches, Hooda asserted, “Reaching the playoffs is no easy feat, but the team must keep building on this achievement, which is our goal. We are heading into do-or-die matches. It’s now or never as there are no second chances at this stage.”

Players Vijay Malik and Bharat Hooda have been exceptional this season, playing vital roles in securing the Telugu Titans' playoff berth.
