New Delhi, Oct 21 (NationPress) Former Pro Kabaddi League star Rahul Chaudhari, who was observing the match from the stands instead of competing on the mat, confidently predicted that his previous team, Telugu Titans, will clinch the PKL 12 title and "forge some new history".
"It's truly exhilarating. In the past, we used to participate, and today we have the opportunity to spectate," Chaudhari expressed, clearly thrilled to be back in a PKL venue. "This is part of life – first as a player relishing the applause for yourself, and now having the chance to watch the game unfold."
The evening was particularly meaningful for Chaudhari since his former team, Telugu Titans, was competing. "My favorite team is also on the field, the one that propelled me to fame – Telugu Titans. I sincerely hope they secure a victory," he stated.
Chaudhari was notably impressed by the Telugu Titans' performance this season. "After facing some challenges in the initial matches, the entire team and management have bounced back commendably. Now, the Telugu Titans are positioned quite favorably," he noted. "Everyone is in top form – Vijay Malik, Ashish Narwal, Bharat Hooda – the entire squad is excelling."
The newly introduced playoff structure, which allows eight teams to qualify instead of six, has heightened the level of competition. "Previously, six teams qualified, and now with eight, only four teams will remain at the bottom rather than six. This has significantly intensified the competition," Chaudhari elaborated.
Having played until the tenth season, he made a remarkable observation. "I've never witnessed so many nail-biting matches in my life as this season. You can truly see the evolution of kabaddi and the talent of the young players entering the league."
Among the promising newcomers, Chaudhari pointed out several names. "Devank has demonstrated over the last two seasons that he could become the league's leading raider. Ayan is also quite impressive."
Offering his prediction, Chaudhari remarked, "In the contest between the rabbit and the tortoise, I believe the tortoise will prevail. Teams like Puneri Paltan and Dabang Delhi are racing ahead, yet Telugu Titans have steadily climbed from the bottom to third place. I anticipate that Telugu Titans will reach the finals and write new history."
