Will We Witness Another Thrilling Tiebreaker?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Oct 30 (NationPress) Rishank Devadiga lauded the finalists of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12, Puneri Paltan and Dabang Delhi, expressing his belief that the championship match will witness an exhilarating tiebreaker between these formidable teams.
Puneri Paltan secured their place in the final of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 after an impressive comeback, overcoming Telugu Titans with a score of 50-45 in Qualifier 2. This marks their third final appearance in four years, following their victory in Season 10, where they will now compete against Dabang Delhi K.C. this Friday.
During an interview on JioStar, Rishank shared his insights regarding the anticipated final clash between Puneri Paltan and Dabang Delhi K.C., stating that spectators can expect yet another nail-biting encounter.
“Both teams possess remarkable strength, and we are likely to witness another thrilling tiebreaker in the finals. Every time these teams face off, we experience heart-stopping action. When two closely matched teams compete, such intense finishes are inevitable. I am confident that the final will be equally captivating. It promises to be an exciting showdown,” he remarked.
He further elaborated on the game, highlighting Puneri Paltan’s poise, teamwork, and tactical play while analyzing the Qualifier 2 match against Telugu Titans.
“It was an outstanding match. I believe Puneri Paltan thoroughly deserved the victory. Their approach to the game was commendable. Their defense was robust, and the raiders performed exceptionally well. Pankaj Mohite deserves special mention. Initially, all three raiders faced challenges, but Mohite turned the game around. He smartly maneuvered against the Telugu Titans’ defense, consistently scoring points. Once he gained momentum, Aditya Shinde took over, earning raid points and completely dismantling the Titans’ defense,” he noted.
Aditya Shinde’s match-winning performance propelled the PKL 10 champions into another final as they aim to secure their second title.
“I am extremely pleased with Aditya Shinde’s performance in this critical match. Pune needed a display like this from him. His fearless and controlled play was remarkable. Scoring against a 4 or 5-man defense is challenging, but he executed it effortlessly. That four-point raid was pivotal. Without that moment, the Titans might have had a chance to recover. However, that raid sealed the victory for Pune. From that point, the Titans knew they had lost control of the match. Aditya made a significant raid at the most crucial moment,” Rishank remarked.
He also assessed the Telugu Titans’ shortcomings and analyzed their failures in reaching the final, stating:
“In the pre-show, we debated which team had the momentum, believing it was the Titans, coming off a strong performance. They did start well, but Puneri Paltan’s confidence and discipline made all the difference. Aditya Shinde’s 21 raid points were relentless, and we can expect him to maintain this form in the finals. For Pune, the partnership between Pankaj Mohite and Aditya Shinde was outstanding.
“Conversely, for the Titans, Bharat was left isolated, leading to excessive reliance on him. The team depended on Bharat to score all the points, while others focused solely on supporting him. That over-reliance proved costly. Meanwhile, Pankaj Mohite secured a vital sub-touch point early in the match, which disrupted the Titans’ defense. Aditya then seized that opportunity. The synergy between Mohite and Shinde was crucial to Pune’s triumph.”
