Notable attendees included state BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma, ministers Rushikesh Patel and Darshana Vaghela, along with various dignitaries, at the event hosted in Bopal-Ambli.
The march began at the Khodiyar Temple in Ambli village, following a prayer session and a tree planting initiative involving the Chief Minister, ministers, and senior leaders. Before the march kicked off, participants pledged to embrace swadeshi products, underscoring a commitment to self-reliance and national pride.
In his address, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel honored Sardar Patel, calling him “the epitome of India’s unity and integrity,” and conveyed his best wishes to all citizens taking part in Unity Marches throughout the state.
He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has commemorated Sardar Patel’s legacy with the construction of the Statue of Unity, the tallest statue globally, serving as a symbol of India’s strength and rich history.
The Chief Minister emphasized Patel’s crucial role in unifying 562 princely states post-Independence, where he served as the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister.
He remarked that the abrogation of Article 370, under PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, further solidified the vision of “One India, United India,” spanning from Kutch to Cuttack and Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
He also articulated that under PM Modi's guidance, India is on the path to becoming the world’s third-largest economy, driven by the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.”
Encouraging citizens to dedicate themselves to unity, national integration, and the adoption of swadeshi products, he called for contributions toward building a developed India by 2047.
The event attracted participation from Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibha Jain, city BJP president Prerak Shah, MPs Dinesh Makwana and Narhari Amin, MLAs, members of royal families, monks, and a significant number of party workers and local residents.
