Lucknow, Aug 4 (NationPress) In a pivotal development for public sector hiring in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday presented appointment letters to 1,374 assistant operators and 120 workshop employees chosen for the UP Police Telecom Department.
The event, which took place at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, signifies another key step in the state’s dedication to transparent, merit-driven recruitment under the initiative titled Mission Rozgar.
During his address to the newly appointed staff, the Chief Minister stressed that the time of nepotism and corruption in recruitment practices has come to an end.
He reflected on how, before 2017, hiring irregularities had undermined public trust and compromised law and order. “Today, Uttar Pradesh is a beacon of fair recruitment. Every worthy youth has the chance to serve the state with dignity and pride,” he asserted.
This latest round of appointments follows the unprecedented recruitment of 60,244 constables earlier in the year and is part of a larger effort to modernize the police force and expand job opportunities.
Since 2017, over 2.17 lakh personnel have joined the UP Police through transparent means, establishing the highest recruitment numbers for any state police force in India.
The newly appointed assistant operators and workshop personnel will significantly enhance the technical backbone of the police communication network.
Their inclusion demonstrates the government’s commitment to advancing digital infrastructure and improving public service efficiency, the Chief Minister noted. For many appointees, this moment is deeply personal.
New recruit Sandhya Singh from Shahjahanpur attributed her success to the transparent hiring process, which gave her confidence in pursuing her aspirations.
Brajesh Kumar Valmiki from Daliganj, Lucknow, described the recruitment as a mark of fairness, while Vaishali Gupta from Krishnanagar expressed that the Yogi administration has restored faith in hard work.
Kanchan Saini from Muzaffarnagar, who was previously appointed as a female constable, celebrated her dual success as a moment of pride.
Anjum Parveen from Saharanpur expressed that receiving her appointment letter directly from the Chief Minister was a prestigious experience, and Bhupendra Singh from Aligarh, chosen as a workshop employee, showed gratitude for the government’s recognition of years of dedication.
The Chief Minister also pointed out the expansion of police training facilities, noting that while only 3,000 personnel were trained annually before 2017, the state now accommodates over 60,000 recruits within its own training centers.
He reiterated that the recruitment model implemented in Uttar Pradesh has set a standard for other states, not only in terms of numbers but also in integrity and efficiency.
With more than 8.5 lakh government jobs created and over two crore employment opportunities generated in the private and MSME (micro, small, and medium enterprises) sectors, the Yogi administration is positioning Uttar Pradesh as a frontrunner in youth empowerment and institutional reform.
