Lucknow, Oct 12 (NationPress) The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Provincial Civil Service (PCS) preliminary examination has commenced throughout the state, accompanied by robust security measures. To guarantee transparency and fairness, various officials—including centre administrators, assistant administrators, static magistrates, and sector magistrates—have been deployed at every location.
The examination is being monitored under CCTV surveillance, with the administration exercising strict oversight at all times.
The PCS exam is structured in two shifts.
The first session kicked off at 9:30 a.m. and will last until 11:30 a.m., while the second shift is set to run from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
At each examination centre, officials including two assistant administrators, one sector magistrate, and one static magistrate are present to ensure the exam's integrity.
In Varanasi, 22,752 candidates are participating in the exam across 49 centres. Ghaziabad has been assigned 21 centres for this event. Additionally, 4,536 candidates are taking the exam at 10 centres in Hardoi, while Amethi has 15 centres allocated for the examination. Similar arrangements have been made in other districts as well.
Prior to the examination, many candidates shared their optimism and confidence.
Speaking to IANS, one aspirant expressed, "This morning feels invigorating, filled with confidence. I’m eager to tackle the question paper after thorough preparation."
Another candidate, who is attempting the exam for the second time, remarked, "I really hope to succeed this time. Staying updated on current affairs is crucial, and mastering that makes things easier."
Another aspirant said, "I’ve put in significant effort for this attempt. My aim is to pass this time around."
One more candidate, in their third attempt, added, "Having taken this exam previously, I feel a mix of nerves and optimism, but I am confident that I will clear it this time."
