New Delhi, Feb 18 (NationPress) The Uttar Pradesh Board Class 10 and Class 12 examinations kicked off on Wednesday, with over 52 lakh students participating statewide. The exams, organized by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP), will run until March 12.

From Lucknow to Prayagraj and from Ghaziabad to Varanasi, countless students arrived at their exam centers early in the morning. While many expressed feelings of nervousness, there was also a sense of confidence stemming from their preparations. The state has implemented strict monitoring strategies, including CCTV surveillance, flying squads, static magistrates, and police teams, to ensure the exams proceed in a peaceful and integrity-filled manner.

A student in Lucknow shared, "I am feeling a bit anxious, yet I am ready to tackle the pressure."

In Ghaziabad, the UP Board high school and intermediate exams commenced with 53,888 students in attendance, comprising 28,574 high schoolers and 25,314 intermediate students.

District officials confirmed that all examination centers were closely monitored, with dedicated teams assigned to check, oversee, and maintain discipline at the gates. Students were observed checking for their roll numbers and center details outside the examination facilities.

In Ghazipur, the board exams began under stringent security measures, with around 1.37 lakh students participating, all under CCTV monitoring. Officials highlighted that special care is taken at sensitive centers, regulating candidate movement to prevent overcrowding.

Local authorities reported that security personnel have been adequately deployed, and flying squads are conducting random inspections to deter any unfair practices.

In Varanasi, the UP Board examinations commenced with 118 exam centers established throughout the district. The administration has segmented the district into 12 sectors to enhance monitoring and ensure the exams run smoothly.

Officials stated that one magistrate is assigned per zone and sector, with five flying teams patrolling the area throughout the examination duration.

A student named Honey from Varanasi expressed her feelings on the first day, mentioning her nerves but appreciating the encouraging arrangements outside her center.

In Bulandshahr, magistrates are stationed at 109 exam centers, and the area has been divided into 12 sectors and seven zones for effective administrative oversight.

The exams are being conducted under rigorous monitoring through mobile squads and police presence at various locations. Each candidate is under surveillance via CCTV cameras, and officials assured that extensive preparations have been made for a fair and peaceful examination.

In Chandauli, the administration announced that the board examinations are underway with elevated vigilance. District centers are organized into five zones and 15 sectors to improve monitoring and arrangements.

In Unnao, numerous exam centers experienced significant crowds as students arrived early to verify their roll numbers and seating assignments. At the Atal Bihari Inter College examination center, many high school students gathered outside the gates before entry commenced. Deepanshu, a student from Purnima Vidya Inter College, conveyed his confidence about the exam and commended the center's arrangements.

Another student, Sonali Yadav from Sikanderpur and attending Maa Gayatri Vidya Mandir Inter College, stated her readiness for the Hindi paper.

The Atal Bihari Inter College center administrator mentioned that efforts are being made to foster a positive atmosphere for students on this first exam day.

In Prayagraj, the UPBSE began the high school and intermediate examinations as candidates arrived at the Shivcharan Das Kanhaiya Lal Inter College nearly an hour before the exams started. After thorough security checks, students were granted entry into the examination halls. The board has issued comprehensive guidelines to guarantee a peaceful, transparent, and integrity-filled exam.

A Prayagraj student expressed her anxiety but remained confident about her preparation for the Hindi paper. With robust arrangements in place across various districts and lakhs of students participating, the UP Board exams are expected to run smoothly in the coming weeks, as authorities maintain close oversight to prevent malpractice and ensure fairness for all candidates.
