Lucknow, July 3 (NationPress) In a groundbreaking move, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet convened on Thursday to endorse the establishment of the Uttar Pradesh Rozgar Mission.
This initiative is anticipated to unlock a plethora of employment opportunities for the youth of the state, offering job prospects not only within India but also internationally.
The mission aims to facilitate 100,000 domestic jobs and 25,000–30,000 overseas positions annually.
Finance Minister Suresh Khanna detailed that the Cabinet approved 30 proposals, including this transformative employment program during a media briefing.
This visionary initiative by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is poised to empower Uttar Pradesh's youth while establishing the state as a global hub for human resources.
Labour Minister Anil Rajbhar stated that the Employment Department had been assisting unemployed youths through Rozgar Melas and partnerships with employers, but this launch will now grant youth access to both domestic and international job opportunities. He emphasized that the goal is to provide jobs for 100,000 individuals in India and 25,000–30,000 abroad within the year.
He further mentioned that in the past, the state relied on licensed recruiting agents for foreign job placements. However, with this mission, the government will possess its own RA license, enabling direct overseas job placements. Rajbhar noted the increasing global demand for Uttar Pradesh's skilled workforce, particularly in the fields of paramedical, nursing, driving, and technical services. This mission aims to capitalize on that potential.
Additionally, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved the construction of a controlled-access Greenfield Link Expressway connecting the Agra-Lucknow Expressway to the Purvanchal Expressway. This six-lane expressway, expandable to eight lanes in the future, will cover approximately 49.96 km and is set to be developed on the EPC model, with an estimated cost of Rs 4,775.84 crore, fully funded by the state.
Upon completion, this link will significantly enhance connectivity and reduce travel time between major cities such as Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Ghazipur, while also alleviating traffic congestion in Lucknow.
