New Delhi, Dec 7 (NationPress) Emphasizing that over 8.5 lakh youths have been granted government positions in Uttar Pradesh during the last eight years, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that the BJP government has also prioritized equipping 12 lakh youths with skills to enhance their job readiness.

“In the last eight years, more than 12 lakh individuals have received training under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission. Out of these, over 6 lakh youths have been directly connected to employment. This synergy of youthful energy and skill development is vital in achieving the vision of a 'Self-reliant Uttar Pradesh',” he remarked.

“Through a transparent and fair recruitment process, more than 8.5 lakh youths have been appointed to government roles by various commissions and recruitment boards. To digitally empower the talented youth of Uttar Pradesh, they are being integrated into the 'Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme',” he shared in a post on X.

CM Adityanath mentioned that the scheme provides tablets/smartphones to youth pursuing various education or training avenues, including graduation, post-graduation, diplomas, skill development, and paramedical studies.

The initiative aims to assist 2 crore youths in the state. To date, a total of 22.80 lakh tablets and 37.25 lakh smartphones—amounting to 60.05 lakh devices—have been distributed, he noted.

A social media update from the Chief Minister’s Office stated, “Under the capable leadership of Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji Maharaj, the 'Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign' is becoming a robust platform for self-employment for the youth in the state.”

This initiative has not only enabled the youth to find jobs but has also empowered them to become job creators. The government is offering interest-free loans up to Rs 5 lakh under this scheme, helping young individuals realize their dreams while creating job opportunities for others, it explained.

“This initiative has translated the vision of the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's 'self-reliant youth' into reality. To date, more than 68,000 youths have been granted Rs 2,751 crore,” the post added.

Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the BJP's double-engine government is committed to generating 10 lakh new young entrepreneurs within the state. To facilitate employment for youths both domestically and internationally, the Uttar Pradesh Employment Mission has been established.

A new program named 'AI Pragya' has also been launched within Uttar Pradesh. This initiative is part of a larger campaign to train 10 lakh youths in Artificial Intelligence (AI). It includes training programs in advanced technical fields like AI, machine learning, data analytics, and cyber security, offering certification that will further expand the employment prospects for the youth, the social media post concluded.
