Patna, June 16 (NationPress) The President of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and former Bihar Minister, Mukesh Sahani, delivered a fiery critique of the NDA government during a significant public gathering at the Inter College ground in Bhagwanpur block of Siwan district.
While addressing the crowd on Sunday, Sahani assured that if the Grand Alliance regains control in Bihar, every woman in the state will receive Rs 2,500 monthly directly in their bank accounts.
"Nitish Kumar's administration has been in power for two decades, but what has Bihar really accomplished?" the VIP President questioned, challenging the efficacy of the long-standing government.
Sahani pointed out the rampant issue of youth migration from Bihar and referred to the previous Mahagathbandhan's tenure, during which he claimed that five lakh youths were employed in the state.
He pledged that the next Mahagathbandhan government would prioritize industrial growth to create job opportunities within Bihar.
"Currently, numerous youths are compelled to leave Bihar in search of employment. Our government will establish industries here and halt this outflow," he proclaimed.
In a direct criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central government, Sahani remarked: "The people of Bihar do not require five kg of rice—they need Special State Status. Children need jobs, not mere sympathy."
He accused the existing NDA government of acting against the interests of the impoverished, claiming that their policies are structured to keep marginalized groups dependent and disadvantaged.
Reiterating the demand for a nationwide caste census, Sahani stated: "There should be proportional representation—those with a larger population deserve a fair share of power and resources."
He stressed the VIP's commitment to social justice, inspired by B.R. Ambedkar, asserting that the Mahagathbandhan would stand as a government for the impoverished and justice in the state.
Sahani charged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with sowing religious discord, declaring: "Today, attempts are being made to split Hindus and Muslims. However, the people of Bihar seek change, unity, and justice."
Moreover, he highlighted the long-standing demand for reservations for the Nishad community, claiming that despite a decade of struggle, the Central government has not delivered.
"The BJP only remembers you (Nishad community) during elections—for your vote, not your rights," he concluded.
