Limassol (Cyprus), June 16 (NationPress) External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar had a meeting with Cyprus's Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos upon his arrival at Larnaca International Airport in Limassol. He expressed confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to this Mediterranean nation will greatly enhance our enduring bilateral relations and the partnership between India and the European Union.
In a post on his official X account, EAM Jaishankar stated: “I am pleased to meet FM @ckombos of Cyprus upon my arrival at Larnaca. I firmly believe that PM @narendramodi’s visit to Cyprus will strengthen our longstanding bilateral relations and the India-EU partnership.”
On the same day, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Cyprus, marking the beginning of his three-nation tour, which includes stops in Canada and Croatia.
Photos of his arrival were shared on PM Modi's X account, showcasing the warm welcome he received from Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides and Finance Minister Constantinos Kombos, highlighting the deep-rooted historical connections between the two countries.

PM Modi acknowledged the special welcome gesture from President Christodoulides on his social media, noting, “I've landed in Cyprus.
