Last October, during their meeting in New Delhi, EAM Jaishankar and Kombos evaluated the India-Cyprus Joint Action Plan 2025-2029. With Cyprus set to assume the European Union Presidency in 2026, we are optimistic about the strengthening of India-EU relations."

This Action Plan serves as a guide for implementing the Joint Declaration that emerged from Prime Minister Modi's visit to Cyprus, outlining short, medium, and long-term objectives across key areas of cooperation, including but not limited to defense, trade, and the technology sectors.

Expressing gratitude for India’s warm hospitality, Kombos stated that he felt "delighted and honored" to engage with Dr. S Jaishankar during his inaugural official visit to India.

"My trip to India shortly following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Cyprus signifies the robust nature of Cyprus-India relations," he remarked on X.
