New Delhi, Nov 30 (NationPress) Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan is set to impart his perspectives on motivating young engineering graduates towards nation-building and realizing the vision of 'Viksit India 2047' in his address to students at the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, this Sunday.

Radhakrishnan will serve as the Chief Guest during the 20th Convocation ceremony of NIT, according to an official announcement.

Additionally, he is slated to attend the Akhil Bhartiya Devsthanam Sammelan, held alongside the International Gita Mahotsav, during his trip to Haryana's Kurukshetra district.

On November 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kurukshetra to participate in the International Gita Mahotsav and the 'Maha Aarti'.

The Mahotsav began with immense enthusiasm in Kurukshetra, where the revered Bhagavad Gita was ceremonially honored.

The formal inauguration of the Mahotsav featured grand worship (mahapoojan) of the Gita along with the chanting of its verses, attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

The ambiance around Brahma Sarovar resonated with divine vibes from the recitation of the Gita.

Guests were welcomed at Purushottampura Bagh, near Brahma Sarovar, amid Vedic chants. Folk artists, adorned in traditional attire from various states, celebrated the guests' arrival on the sacred land of Kurukshetra.

Previously, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini welcomed the Defence Minister during the event. After participating in the Gita Yajna, Rajnath Singh paid homage to the holy Gita.

He extended greetings to the citizens of the country and the state, stating, "In the sacred city of Kurukshetra, we witness a divine blend of spirituality, culture, knowledge, and art."

Thanks to the initiatives by both central and state governments, Gita Jayanti has gained the recognition of an International Gita Mahotsav.

He further noted that it was along the banks of the Saraswati River that the Vedas, Upanishads, and Puranas were composed.
