Lucknow, Aug 16 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a comprehensive master plan amounting to Rs 30,000 crore aimed at enhancing the development of Brij Kshetra. This initiative is designed to rejuvenate the essence of the Dwapar era throughout Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana, and Gokul.
During a saints’ felicitation event at Panchjanya Auditorium in Mathura, coinciding with Janmashtami, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the groundwork for 118 projects valued at Rs 646 crore for the Mathura-Vrindavan area.
These initiatives encompass beautifying parikrama paths, renovating kunds, constructing new entrance gates, enhancing connectivity, promoting water conservation, and initiating environmental projects.
UP CM Yogi emphasized that the Brij action plan aims to harmonize spirituality with contemporary development. “Our government prioritizes the sentiments of saints and devotees. What once appeared unattainable is gradually becoming tangible—akin to the transformations seen at Kashi Vishwanath Dham, the Ram temple in Ayodhya, and the Vindhyavasini corridor,” he remarked.
Referencing the cleaning of the Ganga under Prime Minister Modi's guidance, the CM mentioned ongoing efforts to restore the Yamuna's purity and ensure its steady flow.
He also pointed out new amenities such as the Barsana ropeway, which facilitates pilgrimages for senior citizens.
Invoking Lord Krishna, CM Yogi stated, “His life was dedicated to safeguarding the virtuous and vanquishing the wicked. His example of selfless service inspires us—no harm can come to us as long as we embody that spirit.”
The Chief Minister further acknowledged Prime Minister Modi’s vision for India@2047, asserting that Uttar Pradesh will significantly contribute to the nation’s prosperity by its centenary of independence.
In a heartfelt gesture, Yogi Adityanath blessed six children dressed as Krishna and Radha, performed their Annaprashan Sanskar, served them kheer, adorned them with pearl garlands, and gifted them toys. This emotional moment received a warm response from the devotees.
The CM also honored esteemed saints, including Shri Phooldol Bihari Lal Ji, Harishankar Naga Ji, and Balram Baba Ji, presenting them with garlands, angavastram, and sweets.
A documentary on the Govardhan Parikrama, created by Shruti Anandita Verma, was launched during the event, with the Chief Minister bestowing her with recognition.
