New Delhi, July 1 (NationPress) The National Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Gaurav Bhatia, vehemently criticized RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav during a press conference at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, accusing him of endorsing Sharia law while disregarding the Constitution.
Bhatia condemned Yadav’s statements regarding the Waqf Amendment Act, claiming that both he and his party show a blatant disrespect for the Constitution and engage in communal politics.
In his address to the media, Bhatia remarked, "Those in Bihar who refer to themselves as Samajwadis are, in truth, 'Namazwadis.' These 'Namazwadis' do not wish to uphold Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution. They neither respect nor honor it. What they truly desire is Sharia law. They advocate for practices like halal and believe that only one specific religion should hold power."
He further stated, "If anyone opposes Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of empowering Dalits, women, and backward communities, it’s the RJD and Tejashwi Yadav."
Referring directly to Yadav’s comments about discarding the Waqf Amendment Act, Bhatia said, "The BJP will prioritize discussions on the Constitution, while you promote Sharia. It is disheartening to hear that former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav intends to discard a law that was passed by the Indian Parliament. Have you even read the Constitution? Are you aware of its fundamental principles? A law passed and approved by Parliament cannot simply be declared null and void by a state leader!"
He continued, "This issue is currently pending in the Supreme Court. I would like to ask Tejashwi ji, why is your behavior so intolerant?"
Bhatia then compared the present RJD leadership to the era of 'Jungle Raj' under Lalu Prasad Yadav.
"'Jungle Raj' is synonymous with Lalu and Tejashwi; the primary rule of 'jungle raj' is the dismantling of the Constitution and law. Dr. Ambedkar's Constitution is being shredded, and that is precisely what Tejashwi Yadav is doing while in opposition. It is evident that even though elections are yet to be announced, the intentions of RJD, Tejashwi Yadav, and Lalu Prasad Yadav are clear—they aim to engage in communal politics."
In conclusion, Bhatia stated that the people of Bihar will reject such politics: "The citizens of Bihar will ensure that those who discuss tossing laws into the dustbin and insult Dr. B.R. Ambedkar will see their communal politics end up in the dustbin instead."
