Hyderabad, June 19 (NationPress) A tragic incident occurred when a young woman reportedly jumped from the cable bridge over Durgam Cheruvu lake, located in the bustling information technology hub of Hitech City, Hyderabad, according to police reports.
The lifeless body of Sushma, aged 27, was discovered in the lake early Thursday morning. A resident of Addagutta in Secunderabad, she had gone to her workplace in Hitech City the previous day.
After she failed to return home, her father, Anjaiah, reached out to her office, only to learn that she had left at 10:30 p.m. Concerned for her safety, he filed a missing person report at approximately 4 a.m. with the Madhapur Police Station under the Cyberabad Commissionerate.
A few hours later, authorities were alerted to a body found floating in Durgam Cheruvu. Upon investigation, they confirmed the identity as Sushma and transported her remains to Osmania Hospital for an autopsy.
Law enforcement suspects that she may have jumped into the lake, taking her own life.
