New Delhi, March 29 (NationPress) - Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the vital role of utilizing the nation's youth energy for nation-building on Sunday, asserting that initiatives such as Mera Yuva Bharat are essential in unlocking their potential.
During the 132nd episode of his monthly radio show Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister remarked, “India boasts the title of the world's youngest nation. When we channel the strength of our youth for nation-building, it offers tremendous assistance. In this duty, Mera Yuva Bharat, or My Bharat Sanghathan, is pivotal.”
He highlighted that this initiative actively engages young individuals nationwide in constructive activities aimed at enhancing the nation.
“This organization connects the youth with various positive initiatives,” he noted.
Referring to recent activities, PM Modi pointed out that Mera Yuva Bharat had conducted a “Budget Quest” to involve youth in the Union Budget process and policymaking.
Approximately 1.2 million young individuals participated in this quiz, with nearly 160,000 advancing to an essay competition.
“I had the opportunity to read some of these essays. This reflects the enthusiasm of my young friends to contribute to the nation's advancement,” he stated.
He cited examples such as Kotla Raghuveer Reddy from Suryapet in Telangana, Saurabh Baiswar from Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh, and Sumit Kumar from Gopalganj in Bihar, who wrote about farmer welfare.
Additionally, he acknowledged contributions from Aanchal from Mohali in Punjab and Om Prakash Rath from Kendrapara in Odisha, who provided insights on promoting women-led development.
Pratham Barar from Yamunanagar in Haryana wrote about the significance of a green and clean India as a route to prosperity, while Shankh Gupta from Delhi proposed enhanced efforts to discover sports talent in rural regions.
“Our young friends have also shared their thoughts on skill development and improving business conditions. I commend all the youth putting forth their ideas; these contributions are crucial for our nation's progress,” the Prime Minister concluded.
