New Delhi, June 28 (NationPress) A young man, returning home with his brother, was fatally stabbed by unknown assailants following a minor disagreement in Geeta Colony, Delhi.
The victim has been identified as Yash Sharma.
According to his brother Aman Sharma, they were riding home on a scooty after closing their garage around 8 P.M. on Friday.
"While on our way home, our scooty's side mirror accidentally brushed against two youths, who then hurled abuses at us. When we confronted them, one of the men pointed a gun at Yash's forehead. As Yash attempted to seize the weapon, one of the assailants fled the scene, returning moments later with three others who then stabbed my brother," Aman recounted.
Yash was promptly transported to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival, Aman stated.
Mamata, Aman's aunt, expressed concern over the rising crime rates in the Rani Garden area, alleging that even young children in the vicinity carry sharp weapons.
She asserted that the accused were linked to a family operating a pani puri stall in the area.
Mamata mentioned that she, along with other women, attempted to visit the accused's residence post-incident, but found it locked.
Two of the accused, identified as Amaan and Lucky, have been detained, alongside another minor.
MLA Anil Goyal, discussing the Geeta Colony incident, which falls within his Krishna Nagar Assembly Constituency, termed it a highly sensitive matter.
Goyal stated he visited the Rani Garden area to offer condolences to the grieving family.
He hinted at ongoing extortion and illegal immigration activities in the locality.
The MLA indicated he had engaged with the SHO Geeta Colony and DCP regarding the crime, leading to the swift arrest of the perpetrators.
Goyal emphasized the commitment of the Rekha Gupta government, under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, to ensure that all criminals are brought to justice.
