New Delhi, Dec 16 (NationPress) Apple Inc achieved its highest export value from India in November, with iPhones worth $2 billion shipped, according to industry statistics.
With these recent figures, the US-based tech leader has exported iPhones valued at $14 billion during the first eight months of the current financial year (FY26).
Last month, a company filing revealed that Apple India reached a record domestic sales figure of $9 billion in FY25, and notably, one in every five iPhones produced globally in FY25 was made or assembled in India.
The manufacturing operations in India contributed 12 percent to Apple’s overall production value worldwide.
Although Apple’s sales in India represented just over 2 percent of its total global revenue of $416.1 billion, analysts noted a significant increase in India’s contribution to iPhone production.
For the first time, the iPhone maker also commenced local assembly of its premium Pro and Pro Max models in India.
The company’s filings indicated that the Americas generated $178.4 billion in FY25—almost 43 percent of Apple’s global revenue—while an increasing number of those iPhones were dispatched from India.
Europe followed with a 26.7 percent share, and Greater China represented 15.4 percent.
Over the past decade, Apple’s revenue from India has surged nearly eightfold, primarily driven by iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, AirPods, and accessories, with services accounting for a minor single-digit percentage of total sales.
Meanwhile, Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, stated that the US tech giant established a revenue record for the September quarter in emerging markets and achieved an all-time revenue high in India, primarily due to strong iPhone sales.
In a recent earnings call with analysts following strong quarterly results, Cook remarked, "As we approach our busiest time of year, we’re excited about our best-ever product lineup. In recent months, we’ve opened new outlets in emerging markets such as India and the UAE, in addition to new locations in the US and China."
The global revenue from iPhone sales reached $49 billion, reflecting a 6 percent year-over-year increase, largely propelled by the iPhone 16 lineup.
“iPhone sales have soared in most of the markets we monitor, with record sales in several emerging markets, including Latin America, the Middle East, and South Asia, and a new high in India,” noted Kevan Parekh, CFO of Apple.
