New Delhi, Feb 9 (NationPress) Tech behemoth Meta is anticipated to lay off approximately 3,000 employees, equating to 5 percent of its overall workforce, according to a leaked internal memo reported on Sunday.

The memo, shared by Janelle Gale, the Vice President of Human Resources at Meta, was posted on the company's internal Workplace platform.

It indicates that the impacted employees will receive an email on Monday morning regarding their job status.

For some international workers, the layoff procedure is scheduled to commence on Sunday at 2:30 a.m. IST.

In the United States, notifications will be sent at 6:30 p.m. IST on Monday.
