Mumbai, May 28 (NationPress) The Chairman of Tata Sons, N. Chandrasekaran, has announced his resignation from the roles of Director and Chairman of Tata Chemicals, effective May 29, as disclosed by the company to the stock exchanges on Wednesday.

The Board has accepted his resignation and has appointed S Padmanabhan, a current Director, as the new Chairman starting from May 30. Furthermore, Modan Saha has been appointed as an Additional Director, effective May 28.

“I am writing to formally notify you of my decision to resign from my position as a director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tata Chemicals Limited effective May 29, 2025,” Chandrasekaran stated in his communication to the Board.

“Upon thorough consideration of my current and future obligations, I have chosen to step down from the Board. It has been an honor to lead the Tata Chemicals board and I genuinely value the support and teamwork throughout my tenure,” he continued.

Chandrasekaran has steered Tata Chemicals during a significant period of strategic transformation and realignment within the Tata Group.

In a filing with the stock exchange, the company noted that it has “acknowledged the request received from Mr. N Chandrasekaran via his letter dated May 28, 2025, expressing his intention to resign from the positions of Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company effective May 29, 2025.”
