Ahmedabad, Nov 24 (NationPress) The Adani International School (ADIS) launched its third edition of Bookflix on Monday, celebrating the love for reading and storytelling. Renowned for its focus on learner-centric education, ADIS weaves literature, arts, and inquiry-based learning into daily activities, making Bookflix a vital demonstration of the school’s dedication to comprehensive development.
“Let the joy of reading, the magic of stories, and the power of creativity take over,” expressed Namrata Adani, Promoter.
“In the lead-up to Bookflix, our campus was filled with stories, debates, book exchanges, and creative adventures. Our goal is straightforward — to inspire wonder, ignite joy, and reinforce values that truly matter. Stories shape our understanding and help us interpret the world,” added Namrata Adani.
Running until November 27, Bookflix transforms the ADIS campus into a dynamic literary space filled with workshops, storytelling sessions, character labs, creative writing studios, and interactive sessions with authors.
The festival strengthens the school's mission to cultivate confident, curious, and compassionate lifelong learners.
“It fills me with immense joy to see Adani International School prioritize reading at the core of learning. When children read, they develop empathy, imagination, and robust foundations for life,” stated Sudha Murty, a celebrated author, philanthropist, and Padma Bhushan awardee, who was the Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony.
Murty engaged with 800 students on campus, delivering a 30-minute address on reading, imagination, and values, followed by an interactive Q&A session where students asked about her books, writing process, and personal experiences. Her warmth and clarity resonated deeply with the young audience.
She encouraged ADIS students to seize every opportunity in school, describing these experiences as “stones” that evolve into “diamonds” in the future.
She urged children to engage in all activities, as today's myriad choices shape tomorrow's strengths. Addressing parents, she highlighted the significance of allowing children the freedom to carve their own paths instead of fulfilling unmet parental aspirations.
Murty reminded students that valuing time, being dependable, and merging talent with hard work are crucial for achieving success.
As a heartfelt gesture, ADIS students gifted Murty a pair of specially curated books. The first, crafted by Primary Years learners, beautifully intertwines her life and stories with the IB Learner Profile. The second, created by Secondary students, is a collection of handwritten letters reflecting how her values and writings inspire them to grow as thoughtful, compassionate individuals.
Students also presented her with a collaborative artwork titled “समवृद्धिः (Samavṛddhiḥ)”, symbolizing the ADIS philosophy of Growing Together.
