Kolkata, Oct 28 (NationPress) Aman Raj and Kartik Singh are set to resume their competitive rivalry in the fifth installment of the Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) Tour. The experienced golfer from Patna will go head-to-head with the young talent from Delhi at the IGPL Invitational Kolkata, taking place at the Tollygunge Club.

Aman showcased his poise in the closing stages to clinch victory in Jaipur, while Kartik narrowly finished as the runner-up. With aspirations of achieving consecutive wins like Gaganjeet Bhullar, Aman is eager to maintain his winning streak, while Kartik is determined to secure his inaugural professional title as he steps into his fifth IGPL Tour event.

As Kartik gears up for his debut at the IGPL Invitational Kolkata, he finds himself paired with seasoned competitors Harendra Singh and Saarthak Chibber in the initial rounds at the Tollygunge Club.

Last week’s champion, Aman Raj, is teamed with Ridhima Dilawari and Kapil Kumar. Kartik has consistently landed in the Top-10 in his previous four tournaments held in Chandigarh, Jaypee Greens, Pune, and Jaipur. Currently, he ranks second in the IGPL standings, trailing behind leader Gaganjeet Bhullar, who has won both of his matches in the initial two events. Kartik has amassed earnings of Rs. 43,71,557, slightly below Bhullar’s Rs. 45 lakh, as Bhullar shifts his focus to the International Series and Asian Tour.

Aman Raj, mirroring Kartik's Top-10 streak, is now third with Rs. 35,84,058 following his victory in Jaipur, marking his third career win.

Kapil Kumar, the modest star from Delhi, experienced his breakthrough as a professional by winning a play-off against Kartik at the Poona Golf Club. He currently sits fourth on the Merit list with Rs. 31,94,725. His close associate, Sachin Baisoya, holds the fifth position with Rs. 26,85,932. Last week, Baisoya finished third, trailing Aman Raj and Kartik Singh.

Olympian Udayan Mane, making his debut in the IGPL, tied for sixth and will return this week at Tollygunge Club in search of improved results. Other players aiming to leave their mark include Aadil Bedi, Pukhraj Gills, Syed Saqib Ahmed, and Saarthak Chibber.

The women’s category will again feature the iconic Simi Mehra competing in her hometown of Kolkata. The former LPGA player now regularly participates in the Seniors Tours on the international circuit. The segment will also showcase Sneha Singh, Amandeep Drall, Ridhima Dilawari, Durga Nittur, Jasmine Shekar, and Khushi Khanijau.

Durga Nittur currently leads among female competitors with earnings of Rs. 6,15,900, while Jasmine Shekar closely follows with Rs. 6,12,000. In the first event, three players—Bhullar, Kapil, and Aman—shared the top honors.
