Ancelotti: Kylian Mbappe Not to Blame for Real Madrid's Challenges

Madrid, Nov 30 (NationPress) Real Madrid's difficulties persisted as they suffered a 0-2 defeat to Liverpool during the UEFA Champions League matchday 5. Although Kylian Mbappe missed a crucial penalty in the match, head coach Carlo Ancelotti firmly believes that the team's issues cannot be pinned on the French forward's current form.
"Mbappe's struggles are similar to what all of us are experiencing. The goal is to uncover our best selves: for him, for me, for the other players. We do not view this as an individual issue for a player who, after all, is adjusting, has netted eight goals, and has contributed significantly to our offensive play with assists. We can all improve."
[Mbappe] is not in despair; he recognizes that he needs to elevate his performance. Many of my players have missed penalties. We must continue to support one another. This is a collective challenge, not one that falls on an individual," Ancelotti remarked in a press conference on Saturday, prior to Madrid's LaLiga match against Getafe.
The 25-year-old has recorded eight goals across all competitions this season but has yet to display the sharpness that football enthusiasts have come to expect.
After being omitted from the France squad in October and November, head coach Didier Deschamps suggested that there are 'physical and psychological factors' contributing to the striker's struggles.
The young star missed the last international break due to a knee injury and was not selected for matches against Israel and Italy, failing to score for Les Bleus since June.
Despite facing numerous injuries, Real Madrid remains just four points behind league leaders FC Barcelona in La Liga, with a game in hand. However, the reigning European champions are concerned about their performance in the Champions League group stage, where they currently sit in 24th place with just three matches left to play.
