Madrid, April 19 (NationPress) Real Madrid's Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti refrained from addressing his future on Saturday when probed about rumors regarding his potential departure before the season concludes. Following his team's loss to Arsenal in the Champions League quarterfinals, Ancelotti's tenure at Madrid seems to be nearing its end, with speculation suggesting he may resign after next weekend's Copa del Rey final against Barcelona to take on a role with the Brazilian national team.

The Italian coach was queried about this topic during his press conference ahead of Sunday's match against Athletic Bilbao, who advanced to the semifinals of the Europa League last Thursday, according to reports from Xinhua.

“Brazil? There’s no need to elaborate,” Ancelotti responded, adding, “I prefer not to discuss my future today. We’ll have a conversation with the club once the season wraps up.”

“I’ve maintained a strong relationship with the club, and what we have accomplished and what we will achieve, we will do together. There have never been any conflicts, and there won’t be any,” he affirmed.

Ancelotti emphasized that Real Madrid is set to contest the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona next weekend and is trailing the Catalan club by just three points in La Liga. This summer, his team also looks forward to participating in the FIFA Club World Cup as a frontrunner.

“We need to evaluate the future at the end of the season or when it's concluded. However, discussing this while we are still contending for significant titles is not appropriate,” he stated.

He also dismissed claims of any discord with specific players or with club president Florentino Perez.

“We feel the disappointment, just like the fans, about being knocked out of the most prestigious competition, but such occurrences are part of football. Winning is not always guaranteed. We share the same vision, and there’s no conflict with the club because we are in agreement, through both challenges and triumphs. Anyone suggesting otherwise is misinformed,” Ancelotti expressed.

“All I can do is extend my gratitude to these players for the incredible moments shared, and I hope to continue enjoying this journey,” he concluded.
