In contrast, two-time Olympic champion PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy's journeys ended prematurely as they faced defeats in their respective second-round matches.

Ayush, the champion of the US Open 2025, achieved a convincing victory with scores of 21-16, 21-12 in a match that lasted 41 minutes. He kicked off his tournament with a remarkable triumph over world No. 7 and fifth seed Li Shi Feng from China, securing the match with scores of 21-13, 21-16.
