Ranchi, Jan 22 (NationPress) Kathryn Mullan (21` and 33`) netted a pair of goals as the Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers triumphed over the Delhi SG Pipers in the Women’s Hockey India League 2024-25 at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium this Wednesday.
The opening quarter was thrilling, with both sides battling for control in the midfield. The Bengal Tigers had the only scoring opportunity when they earned a penalty corner in the 13th minute, but Captain Udita’s attempt was well defended by the Pipers.
The second quarter saw the Delhi SG Pipers start strong, earning their first penalty corner. However, Deepika’s drag flick was expertly saved by Bengal Tigers goalkeeper Jennifer Rizzo.
