Jaipur, Sep 27 (NationPress) The second last match of the Jaipur leg in Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) featured an intense showdown between the Patna Pirates and Bengal Warriorz, with the final score reading 42-48 at the SMS Indoor Stadium on Saturday. The thrilling match kept spectators on the edge of their seats until the very end, as both teams fought fiercely for dominance.

In a standout performance, Devank Dalal led the charge for the Bengal Warriorz, accumulating an impressive 22 points through a combination of strategic raids and timely bonuses—marking his eighth consecutive Super 10 this season. He concluded the first half with an extraordinary 15 points, a personal best for him in a half and also the highest recorded by any player this season. Meanwhile, the Patna Pirates showcased their talents with both Maninder Singh and Ayan achieving their Super 10s, keeping their team competitive throughout the match.

The Bengal Warriorz kicked off strongly with an early raid from Devank, but the Pirates quickly countered with a response from Maninder Singh. The teams exchanged scores until a multi-point raid from Maninder shifted the momentum, allowing Patna to take a 7-6 lead. Their defense rallied, and with Ayan spearheading the effort, they initiated the first All Out, establishing control at 13-7. By the end of the first time-out, Patna had expanded their lead to 16-11.

Just as Patna seemed to hold the upper hand, Devank turned the tide with a remarkable Super Raid that narrowed the gap to 17-14 and also secured his Super 10. Himanshu Narwal contributed with a raid point, enabling the Warriorz to execute an All Out of their own, leveling the scores at 19-19.

The final moments of the first half saw both teams fiercely contesting, trading points back and forth. Devank then made a significant impact with yet another Super Raid, capturing three points to shift the balance in favor of the Warriorz, granting them a slim 26-25 lead at halftime.

Carrying their momentum into the second half, the Warriorz built on their lead, although Ayan retaliated for the Pirates. A tackle soon led to a tie at 27-27, with Ayan, in top form, completing his Super 10 to keep Patna in contention. However, Devank remained relentless, responding with another raid as the teams continued to exchange points. By the time-out, the Warriorz held a narrow 34-32 advantage.

Maninder Singh then completed his Super 10 with a successful raid, again leveling the scores at 34-34. The Pirates’ defense followed up with a pivotal moment, sending Devank to the bench and briefly shifting the game in their favor. The tension was palpable as the contest remained finely balanced, and with just three minutes remaining, a Pirates’ Super Tackle tied the game at 39-39.

As the match approached its climax, Himanshu Narwal executed a pivotal raid in the final minute that not only secured points but also triggered an All Out, giving the Warriorz a crucial four-point lead. From there, the Bengal Warriorz sealed the match with a 48-42 victory, driven by Devank’s record-setting first half and strong contributions from Himanshu and the defense during the closing moments.
