New Delhi, April 22 (NationPress) The renowned American gymnast Simone Biles has expressed uncertainty regarding her participation in the upcoming Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. At 28, she mentioned that while she is unsure about competing in her fourth Summer Games in front of a home audience, she will definitely be present at the Olympics, whether it’s on the floor or in the stands.

Biles faced significant challenges during the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, having withdrawn from multiple events due to mental health issues. She made a comeback at the Paris Olympics last year after a two-year hiatus, securing four medals, including three golds.

She achieved her second all-around gold medal in her illustrious career, excelling in team events and vault, where she executed her signature Biles II, a Yurchenko double pike, along with a silver in the floor exercise.

"Currently, my focus is on healing both physically and mentally, as the Olympics can be quite taxing on the body. I haven't had much time to spend with my family, friends, and husband, so I’m truly enjoying my time away before making the decision to return to training and compete. Many assume it's just a one-year commitment, but it truly encompasses four years leading up to the Olympics.

"It’s in LA, back in the States, which is thrilling. However, if I will compete again, I’m uncertain. I will be at the Olympics, but whether it’s on the floor or in the stands, it’s a significant choice to make," Biles shared during the Laureus Awards ceremony on Monday.

Her participation in the Paris 2024 campaign has elevated Biles' total Olympic medal count to seven golds, two silvers, and two bronzes, culminating in an impressive total of 11 medals. In addition to her Olympic success, her 30 world championship medals, including 23 golds, establish her as the most decorated gymnast in history.
