Phillaur, March 2 (NationPress) The upcoming DP World PGTI NexGen Phillaur Open 2026 is scheduled to take place from March 3 to 5 at the Ranjitgarh Golf Club in Phillaur. This event marks the second tournament in the 2026 DP World PGTI NexGen season.

This year, the tournament boasts a significantly increased prize pool of INR 25 lakh. Participants will compete over three rounds (54 holes), with the cut being made after two rounds (36 holes). The top 36 players and ties will advance to the final round.

The competition will feature a lineup of 90 professional golfers, including local talents Amit Kumar and Swatanter Kumar, both from Phillaur.

The first event of the 2026 DP World PGTI NexGen season took place last week in Faridabad, where Abhishek Kumar from Panchkula emerged victorious. He currently leads the 2026 DP World PGTI NexGen Order of Merit.

The champion of this year’s DP World PGTI NexGen Order of Merit will gain an exemption for the main tour (DP World PGTI) during the 2027 season.
