New Delhi, Jan 19 (NationPress) Opener Abhimanyu Easwaran will be unable to participate in Bengal's forthcoming Ranji Trophy matches due to a fracture in the middle finger of his right hand. Easwaran was part of the Indian squad for the 3-1 Border-Gavaskar Trophy series in Australia, yet he did not play in any of the matches.
As per sources reported to IANS on Sunday, Easwaran incurred the fracture while competing in a club match within the CAB league, and his recovery period is expected to last at least three weeks.
The 29-year-old has achieved a remarkable record of 7674 runs in 101 first-class matches, boasting an average of 48.87, including 27 centuries and 29 half-centuries, with a personal best score of 233. He has frequently represented the India A team, even taking on captaincy in several fixtures.
