New Delhi, May 9 (NationPress) A special train has been organized to evacuate both Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) players, along with their support staff, match officials, commentators, broadcast crew, and other essential personnel affiliated with IPL 2025, ensuring their safe relocation.
This decision follows the abrupt cancellation of Thursday's IPL 2025 match between PBKS and DC, which was halted after just 10.1 overs at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala, prompted by escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan. Air and drone strikes from Pakistan led to power outages in nearby regions, including Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur.
“The special train is set to evacuate both teams, match officials, commentators, broadcast crew, and other IPL-related personnel from Dharamshala. Due to security concerns, further information cannot be disclosed at this time. The priority is to ensure everyone's safety,” a source informed IANS on Friday.
