Fixtures and Draw Released for Men's and Women's Football Tournaments at the 38th National Games

New Delhi, Jan 10 (NationPress) The men's football tournament is scheduled to run from January 30 to February 7 during the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand, whereas the women's event will take place from January 29 to February 6, as the draw and fixtures were revealed on Friday.

All matches will be hosted at the Indira Gandhi International Sports Complex and the District Sports Complex in Haldwani.

Each tournament will feature eight teams - the host state of Uttarakhand and the top seven teams from the National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy 2023-24 (conducted in Yupia, Arunachal Pradesh) and the Senior Women's National Football Championship for the Rajmata Jijabai Trophy 2023-24 (held in Kolkata, West Bengal).

The teams will be divided into two groups of four, with the leading two teams advancing to the semifinals, while the two teams that lose in the semifinals will compete for the bronze medal.

The women's semifinals are set for February 4, with the bronze medal match on February 6. In the men's tournament, the semifinals will be held on February 5, and the bronze medal match is scheduled for February 7.

The final for the women's tournament will occur on February 6, followed by the men's final on February 7.

The defending champions in the men's tournament are Services, while Odisha holds the title in the women's tournament.
