The 22-year-old bowler dislocated his left shoulder while trying to catch a ball during a training session on Wednesday, leading to the selection of uncapped all-rounder Johann Layne as his replacement in the squad.

"West Indies Academy pacer Johann Layne will step in for Matthew Forde in the squad for the three ODIs against Pakistan that kick off this Friday," CWI stated. Forde's injury occurred during a training session on Wednesday.
