Hyderabad, May 5 (NationPress) — The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) won the toss and decided to bowl first against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in match 55 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Notably, all-rounder T. Natarajan is set to make his debut for Delhi, while Mohammad Shami and Nitish Kumar Reddy have been omitted from the SRH lineup.
Captain Pat Cummins of Sunrisers Hyderabad stated, "We’ll bowl. We’ve discussed some strategies, but we haven't played a complete game yet. It’s crucial to execute the basics effectively. Everyone in the squad is a potential match-winner, and we have a deep batting lineup."
He added, "The support from our fans has been phenomenal. Although the results haven't been in our favor, the energy from the crowd is uplifting. We can gauge our performance from that."
Meanwhile, Axar Patel, captain of Delhi Capitals, remarked, "We would have batted first too; the pitch looks promising and is unlikely to change much. Our goal is to post a strong score and limit their runs. With the tournament reaching its critical phase, these matches are must-wins. We aim to keep the atmosphere light and approach these games without pressure, just like we did at the start of the season."
"We've seen contributions from various players, and we are not reliant on just one individual. We prefer tight matches; even in loss, we strive to keep the margins narrow. No changes in our lineup," he concluded.
