Malé (Maldives), March 27 (NationPress) Following their impressive victory against Pakistan, India is set to focus on Bangladesh in their concluding Group B match of the SAFF U20 Championship at the National Football Stadium in Malé, Maldives, this Saturday.

Even though India has already secured a spot in the semifinals, this match holds considerable significance, as the top position in Group B is on the line. A draw would suffice for India to finish at the summit of the group, while Bangladesh is in dire need of a victory.

India's head coach Mahesh Gawali remarked, “The match against Pakistan was encouraging. We performed better in the second half and maintained control of the game. Our defensive line was structured, and our goalkeeper excelled. But our focus is now on the next challenge. Every team poses a threat. On any given day, any team can surprise you. We won’t underestimate any opponent.”

Bangladesh's head coach Mark Cox emphasized the preparation and camaraderie within his team, while also recognizing the threat that India represents. “We’ve been preparing for two weeks. The players have established a great rapport and understand each other well. However, we must remain vigilant, as football can be unpredictable. India is always a formidable opponent. We are ready to take on the best,” Cox stated.
