Mumbai, April 18 (NationPress) Indian athletes delivered an exceptional performance, securing a total of seven medals -- two gold, three silver, and two bronze -- at the Vietnam Pickleball Open Cup currently taking place in Ho Chi Minh City, as reported by the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) on Friday.

The Indian contingent clinched all its medals in the open category of the tournament on Thursday. The event is scheduled to continue until Sunday, featuring competitions for intermediate and beginner levels.

Facing fierce competition from elite international players, the Indian team exhibited remarkable skills and sportsmanship, affirming India’s emerging strength in the global pickleball arena.

The tournament highlighted outstanding performances from India's top pickleball athletes. Vrushali Thakare stood out, earning gold in Open Women’s Doubles alongside Tyak Karina, and also captured a silver and bronze in the Open Mixed Doubles Pro category with Vanshik Kapadia.

Mayur Patil showcased an equally impressive display, achieving gold in Men’s Open Doubles and silver in Mixed Open Doubles. Vanshik Kapadia also secured a silver medal in Open Men’s Doubles Pro, contributing to his podium finishes with Vrushali. Completing India's medal tally, Kuldip Mahajan earned a bronze in Open Men’s Doubles, contributing to India's remarkable seven-medal achievement.
