Hong Kong, May 30 (NationPress) Indian golf enthusiasts Ranveer Mitroo and Krish Chawla achieved a commendable fifth-place finish in the boys’ team competition at the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) Junior Championship held at the prestigious Hong Kong Golf Club. The winning duo from China, Jin Heng Yan and Jin Han, claimed the boys' team title with a score of four-under 422.
Adverse weather conditions, particularly rain, posed challenges for achieving lower scores. Nevertheless, Ranveer maintained his impressive performance by carding a respectable two-over 73 in the final round, securing sixth place in the individual standings with a total score of two-under 211, the best among the four-member team from the Indian Golf Union (IGU). Krish finished in 22nd place with a cumulative score of six-over 219.
New Zealand’s Cooper Moore captured the boys' individual title by a narrow two-stroke lead over Tuan Anh Nguyen from Vietnam, achieving a remarkable three-day total of nine-under 204.
