Chaitanya Pandey and Anushka Gupta swept the overall combined titles at the 24th NCR Cup Junior Golf Tournament, concluded on Friday, 13 June 2025 at the Delhi Golf Club, with over 160 junior golfers from across India competing across five age categories. The three-day event, affiliated with the Indian Golf Union (IGU) and carrying World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points, delivered a series of dramatic finishes on both the historic Lodhi Course and the Peacock Course.

Overall Champions and Category B Highlights

Chaitanya Pandey was the standout performer of the tournament, dominating the Boys' Category B (13–14 years) with a commanding 8-stroke victory. Pandey carded a remarkably consistent scorecard of 72, 74, and 74 across the three rounds, with Sakshit Purendre and first-round leader Aditya Misra finishing tied for second at 12-over par. His clinical showing earned him the coveted Overall Combined Prize for Category A and B Boys.

On the girls' side, Anushka Gupta played disciplined, strategic golf throughout to claim the Overall Combined Category A and B Girls crown, reinforcing her status as one of the tournament's most consistent performers.

Category A: Anas Khan's Hole-in-One Seals Dominant Win

In Boys' Category A (15–18 years), overnight leader Anas Khan cruised to victory by a staggering 13 strokes, despite carding a 6-over par in the final round. His lead, built on a memorable hole-in-one in the opening round, proved insurmountable. Khan received an additional prize of ₹10,000 for the ace. A four-way tie for the runner-up spot — between Siddhaan Chhibber, Devvrat Singh Rajawat, Anshh Dubey, and Ayaan Dubey — was resolved in favour of Chhibber via a superior countback on the back nine.

In Girls' Category A, local favourite Ayesha Gupta delivered a masterclass in consistency, firing rounds of 77, 75, and 75 to win comfortably. Apeksha Grace David mounted a spirited challenge to finish second.

Peacock Course: Sub-Junior Categories Go Down to the Wire

The younger age groups produced some of the most dramatic finishes of the week on the Peacock Course. In Boys' Category C (11–12 years), Shan Alvi won by a single stroke, shooting matching 3-over par rounds to finish 6-over total, edging overnight leader Mohd. Rehan. In the girls' section, Aaradhya Rawat held her nerve to win by one shot at 9-over par, ahead of Unnati Singh at 10-over.

In Boys' Category D (9–10 years), Priyansh Jain was dominant, firing level-par rounds on both days for an 8-stroke win. The girls' section saw Naaysha S. Sinha produce a sensational 2-under par final round to win by four strokes at 1-over total.

The Under-9 Boys' Category E produced the comeback of the tournament, with Viraj Krishan Chaudhri firing a 2-under par final round to claim the title at 2-over total. In the girls' section, Manasvi Rathor was imperious, carding level-par rounds on both days to win by six strokes.

Prize Ceremony and Tournament Reach

The tournament concluded with a grand prize ceremony at which division winners received premium prize vouchers worth ₹20,000 each. The field drew participants from Delhi NCR, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh, as well as an international participant from Dubai. With WAGR points on offer, the tournament serves as a meaningful early-career milestone for India's rising junior golfers, and the 24th edition is widely regarded as among its most competitive yet.
