New Delhi, Feb 24 (NationPress) Tokyo Olympian Kynan Chenai and experienced Mairaj Ahmad Khan will be the main highlights in the 12-member Indian contingent set for the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Shotgun taking place from May 3 to 12, 2025 in Nicosia, Cyprus, as announced.
According to the national selection criteria, shooters ranked 4-6 in the Indian rankings for their respective events have been chosen for this World Cup.
Kynan Chenai will spearhead the men’s trap team, while Paris Olympian Rajeshwari Kumari will lead the women’s trap category, as reported by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) on Monday.
The skeet category will also feature two Olympians in Nicosia, a renowned venue for world shotgun events. India’s most celebrated men’s skeet shooter, Mairaj Ahmad Khan, will compete in this World Cup, with Maheshwari Chauhan participating in the women’s skeet event.
The Nicosia Shotgun World Cup will occur after two consecutive combined (Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun) ISSF world cups in Argentina and Peru in April.
