Indian Squad Announced for Men's Deaf T20I Tri-Series and ODIs

New Delhi, Dec 26 (NationPress) The Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) has unveiled a 16-member squad for the anticipated International T20I tri-series as well as the ODI Deaf cricket series.

The T20I tri-series featuring India, South Africa, and Australia is scheduled to take place from March 2 to 8 in New Delhi. Subsequently, the Indian Deaf Cricket team will compete in a three-match ODI series against Australia from March 10 to 12.

This team will be captained by Virender Singh, with Sai Akash serving as the vice-captain. The Indian men's deaf cricket team is set to engage in comprehensive training and practice sessions under the expert mentorship of head coach Dev Dutt and assistant coach Susheel Gupta.

Head coach Dutt praised chief selector Vinod Kumar Matta for assembling a squad that is both capable and promising. He also expressed appreciation to IDCA for their efforts in coordinating and hosting the series.

"The Indian squad appears to be highly promising. I am hopeful that our players in the Deaf Cricket Team will shine and lead in both tournaments. The international tri-series and ODI series will serve as a significant stage for the Indian Deaf Cricket Team to consistently display their remarkable skills. This is also a chance for the players to position the team among the elite in the world," stated IDCA chief Sumit Jain.

IDCA CEO Roma Balwani added, "I am eagerly anticipating competitive tournaments ahead, where players from all teams will demonstrate their extraordinary talents. My hopes are always high for our Indian players, who possess the potential to succeed and win numerous such tournaments."
